Helene Connelly was named Executive Director of Different and Able in January of 2023. Prior to joining Different and Able, Helene was working as an executive in advertising and marketing.
Having begun volunteering at age 14, Helene has deep, life-long experience working with and volunteering for non-profits. Most recently she has been Co-chair of the United Way’s Food Collaborative and on the Advisory Council of New Covenant Center in Stamford, CT. She is excited to continue her philanthropic passion at Different and Able.
Helene is currently working on her Masters at Columbia University’s Teachers College where she is studying Psychology with a concentration in Health and Wellness. Additionally, Helene has been a lifelong learner, studying yoga, karate, feng shui, space organization/clutter clearing, and life coaching. During the pandemic, she received her certification in the Science of Well-being from Yale.
Helene lives with her family in Connecticut. She loves to travel and is working on visiting her bucket list of destinations around the world. She loves to cook and in general, she’d almost always rather be at the beach.
