Dr. Spotts is a summa cum laude graduate of Temple University and holds a Masters and Doctoral degree from the University of Wisconsin where he studied with Carl Rogers. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Eastern Psychological Association, and The Connecticut Psychological Association. His psychotherapy and consultative practice is located in New Canaan, CT; he has practiced here since 1969. Dr. Spotts co-authored, You Can Say No to Your Teenager. The book is addressed to the parents of adolescents, who face daunting challenges regarding limits and boundaries in today's world. Topics covered in this book include, how to help teens with the development of responsible decision making regarding alcohol, drugs, sex, the value of school and thinking well and the solidification of values as a life pattern.
