Sylvia Hemingway is a committed philanthropist in New York City. She received her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University. Post college, Sylvia began her career at the Television Bureau of Advertising. She has been a chief fundraiser for a number of charitable organizations, including the Friends of the Budapest Festival Orchestra, where she serves as a trustee, and the Museum of the City of New York, where she serves as a trustee and community liaison.
